Conveniently located near the Route 154/I-15 intersection, Hampton Inn Draper Salt Lake City offers easy access to downtown Draper and Salt Lake City.
The Hampton Inn Draper Salt Lake City generally receives positive reviews, highlighting cleanliness, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. However, concerns regarding location confusion, inconsistent service, and racial discrimination have been raised. Recent reviews indicate a strong focus on breakfast quality and staff attentiveness, while older reviews mention challenges with room assignments and front desk availability.
The room is as great. Plenty of space for two queens. Comfortable & plenty of pillows. I liked the set up. I didn’t like the rolling bathroom door and no fan in there.. the service was SO fast. We needed more pillows (I had to sleep upright) and I swear they came up in 2min or less with any requests. My biggest issue was the location. I was confused on it when I saw the map originally… the little highway thing is so hard to explain?!?! Just really look into that before booking. We had to get on the northbound freeway one morning and it was impossible and sooo frustrating
I've always love Hampton Inn. This one exceeded my expectations. So new and well thought out in every detail. Spacious suite and bathroom, extremely clean, helpful and friendly service from front desk and breakfast to maid. Open dining area and added intimate nooks for more private visiting in lobby. Love it! Pool & hot tub were small but functioning and inviting.
I called the day before and requested a room closest to the door on the first floor I was told no problem we will reserve the exact room right now. Upon my arrival it took the front desk too 45 minutes to get a key that would work and open the door. They tried 3 different room finally a room opened on the 3rd try, this room was in the middle of the building. I specifically asked for a room closest to the door because I had heavy electrical equipment that I could not leave in the car. The room was also not very clean total experience awful! The following morning I asked to speak to the manager and was told they would call me that day. Well I have called and left 3 messages in the past 2 weeks with my phone number, NO RESPONSE! Customer service was a ZERO! I did receive a call back after this review was written by the GM. She refunded me for my entire stay and apologized for her late response to my messages. So the situation was handled it just took awhile!
This hotel is pretty basic but the staff make it 100% worth the stay. I’m here once a month and they always go above and beyond. Today Rose at the front desk was exceptionally kind and helpful. Their breakfast in the morning is a great bonus.
We stayed here for 5 days in October. My brother was getting married and we flew in from Missouri. This place is very nice and clean. They have free breakfast every morning and it's always different foods. They have an extremely hot hot tub and a nice indoor pool. The rooms were pristine and the bathrooms were squeaky clean. They also have a little shop on the main floor incase you forgot anything at home. They offer free products (toothbrush, toothpaste, combs, clippers, etc) if you didn't bring them. Parking wasn't bad at all and the people that worked here were absolutely amazing and so friendly. Rooms do come with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer, microwave, mini fridge, ironing board, iron and a coffee maker!
Please if you are non-white do not stay here. The white members of our party had excellent treatment while we were treated like dirt. I would use the word second class citizens but I'm sure that would have been an upgrade. This is the worst hotel experience of our entire life. We had an issue with the room and the hotel complained we were a no-show and then said we were yelling and cursing at staff. My wife couldn't even speak ... she had lost her voice. We were lied to from start to finish, I would absolutely stay away from this hotel. I firmly believe that my wife and I were mistreated because of the color of our skin. Follow up to my earlier comments: I was able to get some more information from other hotel guests. The room we requested was actually available and was denied to us. And yes we have photographic proof. Furthermore the hotel staff has lied to the 3rd party agency saying that they told us to come back at 3:00 p.m. The hotel manager working the desk told us we would also be refunded ... , another callous lie. She accused me of yelling at her staff; it is a classic dog whistle for individuals of color. I asked her for proof and she said she couldn't provide it ... . Please if you are non-white do not stay here. I cannot express how disappointing this was and how dejected we feel to be treated this way. No one deserves this and I cannot fathom why people treat other human beings this way. The staff was rude, sarcastic, dishonest and are utterly two-faced. It did not matter that I am well spoken; it did not matter that I am a doctor; it did not matter that I have served the United States of America for the last 14 years. It did not matter that my wife has an autoimmune condition. It did not matter that we called corporate. It did not matter that we have spent tens of thousands of dollars on Hilton hotels. It did not matter that we had stayed at this exact hotel before. It did not matter that my wife works to support first responders across the entire state of Utah.
This hotel provided a pleasant experience. The rooms are particularly nice and clean. The bathroom is spacious and features exceptional water pressure. Complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are available in the shower. However, additional towels and upgraded toilet paper would be appreciated. The bathroom door design is somewhat unusual. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. While the hotel is generally quiet, rooms located on the street side may experience some noise, although it is not excessive. The breakfast bar offered the expected fare. Notably, this hotel is pet-friendly. Overall, I would recommend it as an excellent choice for a restful stay. I also want to mention the pull down shades are so much better that the old curtains used for the windows.
?????????? Clean, Comfortable & Delicious Breakfast – Great Stay in Draper! This Hampton Inn in Draper exceeded expectations! The rooms are clean, modern, and quiet — perfect for a restful night. The free breakfast was surprisingly good: hot omelets, sausage patties, waffles with jam, and plenty of drink options. The breakfast area is bright, stylish, and very clean. The pool and lounge area were a nice bonus, offering a relaxed atmosphere to unwind. Location is super convenient with easy access to I-15 and just a short drive to Salt Lake City. Definitely recommend for anyone passing through or visiting the area. Solid value and great service all around. Best part fitness center is open 24hrs. ????????
This is a long review, but I hope it can save people from going through the same experience we did. We made a prepaid reservation through "third party" for a room with two queen beds, which was essential for our stay, coming 5 hours from out of state. When we arrived and checked in, we got up to our room to find out it was 1 king bed. When we went back down to talk to the front desk, she said Hamptons Policy is if you book through Hampton itself, they get priority for room type if they become fully booked, and people who book through "third party" lose their room type to whatever is left over. When we asked what we are supposed to do since their is 4 of us, we got told "that's all we have" and when we asked "what are we supposed to sleep on the floor" the lady said "yeah I guess, we don't have cots". She also said she would refund us, but knew that all the hotels in the area were booked. So, we called Hampton customer service and spoke to a supervisor, he said that is "totally 100% incorrect, and whatever room type you book, they are required to honor" and he stated that this has been an ongoing issue that they are trying to correct. We booked on the 17th, and the customer service rep told us, they changed our room type the day of on the 24th. He filed a complaint for us, and the ticket goes to whoever, and they decide how we will be "compensated".
I have stayed at hotels weekly all over the world for 32 years. I have been staying at the Hampton inn and suites on 13711 South 200 West in Draper UT regularly for the last 4 years and it is my favorite hotel ever. The property is immaculately clean, very quiet, comfortable and perfect every time. The greatest asset is the staff. I am treated like family and all my needs are accommodated. Malina and her staff of Jeanne, Tiffani, Karen, Simon and Cole that I deal with regularly have become dear friends and do a fabulous job. The breakfast that Karen provides is wonderful. I can't say enough good about the entire staff and the property. Simply the best!
