Recent reviews for the Hampton Inn Draper Salt Lake City present a mixed experience, with widespread praise for cleanliness and friendly staff, however, several guests reported significant issues with inaccurate billing (excessive cleaning fees), room cleanliness deficiencies, and staff errors regarding reservations and room assignments. The most concerning feedback centers around a perceived lack of professionalism and dishonesty from hotel management during dispute resolution.

We have been coming to this hotel for well over a year, have stayed countless times and have always had a great experience up until our last stay here. After getting home from our trip, I realized we were charged a $200 excessive cleaning fee, knowing that it had to be a mistake because I did a walk through of the room before checking out and the room was not in disarray, towels were neatly placed in a corner, bedsheets pulled back, and we have never left a room the way they claimed we did. When I called they claimed the room was left covered in feces, the first lady I talked to said that it was all over the bed, the walls, the floors, and that they had to throw away bedding. I then called back the next day and spoke to Jeanie, the manager, who then changed the story again and sent me a video of "the mess". Jeanie was incredibly rude and refused to listen to what I was saying at all, to the point she hung up before giving me her managers number. The "feces" they are claiming was all over the room was 2 spots of chocolate muffin that my son dropped on the floor in the entry way and the bathroom floor. There was nothing on the bed, the walls, nowhere other than those 2 spots. The video was actually quite disappointing with how bad they made the room out to be. My son is 3, and unfortunately 3 year olds leave crumbs quite literally everywhere they go. He ate a chocolate muffin from their dining room (careful though, they'll lie through their teeth and tell you that they don't serve chocolate muffins) in our room that morning after swimming and sadly the cleaning ladies were unable to differentiate between feces and muffin and we got charged. They have the ability to watch the footage of my son eating the muffin all the way from the dining room to the elevator and into the room but refuse to watch it. So if you're interested in catching a $200 cleaning fee for your kids chocolate muffin crumbs, this may be the place for you! I gave 2 stars because while this situation sucks, the hotel is nice, most of the staff is great, the rooms are clean, and the breakfast is good, but we wont be back because I don't feel management handled this situation in a professional manner and I know we were wrongfully charged.

Left over food in the fridge. Fridge was broken so my food went bad (it was still chilly when I put my own food in there so I did not realize). Crumbs and dust on the desk. Long hair in the bed and on the pillow. Room smells old. AC makes me sneeze I had to shut it off and now it’s very hot in the room. Front desk told me my reservation was good the two times I called before I left to check on it. Get here and I can’t check in. I have to cancel my reservation and pay the current price of the room (day of) instead of the discounted rate I got because I bought it in advance. They flat out lied twice to me. I paid an extra $400 (that I do not have like at all), from what my original price was. Needless to say it was absolutely not worth it. Since my fridge was broken, after all that I had to change rooms at 10:00 at night to get one that worked so my food wouldn’t go bad. It still did. The room and the building gross me out, and the customer service needs work. 0/5.

All was wonderful, except the TV wasn't properly assembled and required dismounting of the control box in back of the TV plus the use of two remote controls. I was stuck in the hotel with a medical issue for multiple days, and the first day was without TV entertainment. I should add that the TV problem was not of the hotel's making. The contractor who installed the TVs had not completed the process. So the hotel was wonderful in coming up with a workaround.

2 nights, check in girl was nice. However, once again on pre check in I changed my room from there automated choice. As a diamond member I know exactly why I pick the location and room. She tells me that room is not available. So I select another, knowing full well it was when I picked it and confirmed. It was not early check in. She blames the system. Wait the hotel system is the same as every other Hilton system. I hear this same excuse (just blame a glitch in this system) ya right? That night, I could hear the room next to me phone text or email or phone notifications all night. Night two.. 11:40 pm laughing, giggling, etc going on outside my room. I finally get up and look and 3 teenage girls running around the halls in pink pajamas. They see me and run toward elevator. I called front desk and said this is unacceptable. First, who lets their girls run around in pajamas where there were construction workers staying? The next morning I call front desk and request late checkout as a Diamond member (from The late night fun outside my door). What does she tell me? She has to check with housekeeping to see if that’s ok. Since when does housekeeping which is probably the lowest paid position dictate policy if a Diamond member can do late checkout? She gets back on and says 12. Fine, I get a knock on door at 11 wanting to come in my room. I opened door and told her I had late checkout. Shouldn’t she know this since she made the decision? She had a clipboard In Hand, no cart. Is this who the front desk cleared it with? This is why I have backed off my stays with Hilton properties and spend more of my travel in Marriott. No one can seem to be consistent. I leave Google reviews on properties good and bad.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were extremely friendly and always ready to help. A special thank you to the team for arranging a beautiful birthday surprise for my husband-it truly made our day memorable. The location is very convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions. Breakfast was delicious. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. Looking forward to staying here again!

The room is as great. Plenty of space for two queens. Comfortable & plenty of pillows. I liked the set up. I didn’t like the rolling bathroom door and no fan in there.. the service was SO fast. We needed more pillows (I had to sleep upright) and I swear they came up in 2min or less with any requests. My biggest issue was the location. I was confused on it when I saw the map originally… the little highway thing is so hard to explain?!?! Just really look into that before booking. We had to get on the northbound freeway one morning and it was impossible and sooo frustrating

I've always love Hampton Inn. This one exceeded my expectations. So new and well thought out in every detail. Spacious suite and bathroom, extremely clean, helpful and friendly service from front desk and breakfast to maid. Open dining area and added intimate nooks for more private visiting in lobby. Love it! Pool & hot tub were small but functioning and inviting.

I called the day before and requested a room closest to the door on the first floor I was told no problem we will reserve the exact room right now. Upon my arrival it took the front desk too 45 minutes to get a key that would work and open the door. They tried 3 different room finally a room opened on the 3rd try, this room was in the middle of the building. I specifically asked for a room closest to the door because I had heavy electrical equipment that I could not leave in the car. The room was also not very clean total experience awful! The following morning I asked to speak to the manager and was told they would call me that day. Well I have called and left 3 messages in the past 2 weeks with my phone number, NO RESPONSE! Customer service was a ZERO! I did receive a call back after this review was written by the GM. She refunded me for my entire stay and apologized for her late response to my messages. So the situation was handled it just took awhile!

This hotel is pretty basic but the staff make it 100% worth the stay. I’m here once a month and they always go above and beyond. Today Rose at the front desk was exceptionally kind and helpful. Their breakfast in the morning is a great bonus.

We stayed here for 5 days in October. My brother was getting married and we flew in from Missouri. This place is very nice and clean. They have free breakfast every morning and it's always different foods. They have an extremely hot hot tub and a nice indoor pool. The rooms were pristine and the bathrooms were squeaky clean. They also have a little shop on the main floor incase you forgot anything at home. They offer free products (toothbrush, toothpaste, combs, clippers, etc) if you didn't bring them. Parking wasn't bad at all and the people that worked here were absolutely amazing and so friendly. Rooms do come with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer, microwave, mini fridge, ironing board, iron and a coffee maker!
